SEP has once again been recognized as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work for the 14th year consecutive year. The statewide survey and award program evaluates participating organizations and honors those with the highest levels of employee satisfaction and engagement in the workplace.
“We have many tremendous employers in the state, so it’s great to see more and more companies take part in this effort to evaluate their workplace cultures and gain the recognition they deserve,” says Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. “These companies consistently demonstrate to their employees how much they value their contributions.”
A large number of companies across the state took part in the two-part survey process in order to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. This part of the process – the Employer Assessment – was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process, the Employee Feedback Survey, was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.
“There’s a common sports notion that it’s better to fail conventionally than succeed unconventionally. For 35 years, we’ve managed to succeed unconventionally,” said SEP President and CEO, Raman Ohri. “Being recognized as a Best Places to Work for the 14th year in a row is powerful validation in the way our incredible team approaches work and life.”
SEP entered the program in 2010, placing first in the Medium category. Companies who are honored as Hall of Fame companies are those that have been named a Best Places to Work in Indiana at least 60% of the time in the program’s history.
“While we love seeing our name amongst these other great Indiana companies, the most value comes from the feedback we receive via the employee survey,” explains Traci Dossett, Chief Operating Officer at SEP.
“It serves as a reinforcement for the things we’re doing well as a company and also provides us some insights on areas we might want to shore up, like benefits and perks. All of these things help us to continue to attract top talent and even draw back previous employees who’ve figured out we really are a Best Place to Work!”
SEP was ranked #7 in the Medium-sized company category on May 10, 2023.
