The SEP Foundation: Focused on What Matters

Since 1988, people and community have been at the heart of our success as a tech company. That’s why we created The SEP Foundation, to give back and help our neighbors who deserve the same opportunities.

We support those who have faced tough times and believe everyone should have a chance at a brighter future. We focus on strengthening the tech community, fighting hunger, empowering young people, and helping veterans and families reach their goals.

Our Foundation’s Mission

Everyone in our community should have the opportunity to overcome the barriers and confines of poverty. We use our time, talents, and financial resources to help veterans and families experiencing hardships achieve self-sufficiency.

Where We Focus Our Support

We’re passionate about giving back to the communities where we live and work. We partner with organizations that help individuals and families overcome challenges and build self-sufficiency, and we also love supporting local efforts through hands-on volunteering.

Together, these efforts bring our Foundation’s mission to life:

  • HVAF
Supports homeless and at-risk veterans with housing, case management, food, and essential resources.
  • Horizon House
Provides a safe place and services that help individuals and families overcome barriers and build self-sufficiency.
  • The Last Mile
Delivers computer coding training to incarcerated individuals, preparing them for re-entry and helping to break the cycle of incarceration.
  • Gleaners Food Bank
Distributes food to agencies and individuals across central and southeastern Indiana, fighting hunger in our communities.
  • Camptown
Guides youth through outdoor adventures that foster growth, self-reliance, and a deeper connection with nature.
  • The StartedUp Foundation
Inspires and equips students to become innovative problem-solvers and entrepreneurs, preparing them for future success.

The SEP Foundation Maker Scholarship

In 2020, our dream of establishing a scholarship fund to support underrepresented groups pursuing further education in STEAM became a reality.

The SEP Foundation Maker Scholarship is awarded annually and is open to any Central Indiana resident. The scholarship helps students pursue a degree in a STEAM field at any accredited college, university, technical, vocational, or trade school in Indiana.

SEP Foundation Scholarship History

“Generosity permeates SEP’s culture.”

There’s a generosity that permeates SEP’s culture—with teammates helping each other hone their craft, sharing what we’ve learned with the technical community, helping our customers reach new heights, and helping those in need. Creating the Foundation solidifies our commitment to make the world a better place.
