Solution
From Single App to Holistic Innovation
What began as a single mobile app soon grew into a full spectrum of product innovation. As new challenges surfaced—like delays with third-party providers and the complexity of managing multiple vendors—our client looked to SEP as a trusted partner.
By consolidating more work with us, they reduced project risk and gained a reliable, cross-functional team that could keep innovation on track. Each new phase built on the last, turning an initial app project into a multi-year collaboration that redefined the smart home water experience.

Elevating the Luxury Shower Experience
We began with a smart faucet app. The old setup process confused non-technical users, so SEP redesigned it with a simple, voice-enabled experience—giving homeowners quick, easy access to their faucet’s smart features.
Next, we built embedded software for a shower sensor. The device collected water temperature and triggered lights when the shower reached the user’s preferred setting, creating a delightful new layer of smart home interaction.
As projects grew, the client asked SEP to take on cloud architecture. Using Azure, we enabled device connectivity, automated infrastructure, and built CI/CD pipelines to release to the cloud multiple times per day—making updates faster and more reliable.

Always Human-Centered
When delays hit with third-party providers, SEP stepped in to lead embedded display development. Using C++ and Java/Android, we improved the LCD interface with secure over-the-air updates, Bluetooth integration, and backwards compatibility for legacy devices.
Across mobile, cloud, and embedded systems, SEP focused on the user. We optimized controls, built pressure-sensitive touchscreen features, and delivered smart home integrations—so every shower or faucet felt personalized, seamless, and connected.
