SEP partnered with Valeo to replace a stressful, Excel-heavy process with a custom web app built around advisors’ real workflows. From the start, the goal was clear: create software that made reporting faster and easier, while giving advisors tools that matched their high standards of service. We worked side-by-side with advisors to define the product direction, test ideas, and refine workflows along the way.

Developing a Roadmap
SEP ran a week-long Discovery with Valeo advisors to confirm needs, explore risks, and set priorities. Together, we clarified the vision and roadmap for the new product.
Our team prototyped solutions and worked directly with advisors to test workflows. Continuous feedback and iteration ensured the product was simple to use and fit real advisor needs.

Improving the Reporting Workflow
In building the new system, we focused on four areas where advisors struggled most:
- Data import was cumbersome and time-consuming.
- Data analysis required jumping between complex spreadsheets.
- Reports lacked the polish and branding that advisors wanted to deliver to clients.
