Between Strategy & Execution—Can AI Help?
Overview
Believe it or not, this wasn’t just another ‘AI will change everything’ lecture. In fact, we were all a bit weary of AI hype.
Instead, this session explored how AI might actually help product teams get unstuck in their discovery process. Some participants had been experimenting with AI tools for months, others were just getting started, and some were still wondering if it was worth the effort.
The talk outlined our process for moving from strategy to execution and asked, “Can generative AI help along this journey, and where?”
In this talk, we:
- Covered our proven process for moving from strategy to execution
- Demonstrated where we were experimenting with generative AI to unlock key decision points
- Explored common roadblocks organizations face when translating product strategy into actionable plans, including
• the constraints of sequential option evaluation
• overconfidence bias
• insufficient assumption testing
We showed how these emerging methods could benefit from generative AI to enhance traditional product development practices. Through interactive discussion, we explored how AI tools might enhance decision-making, surface hidden assumptions, and accelerate hypothesis validation. Attendees also shared their own experiences and experiments using AI in their product development lifecycle.
