May 2024 was a whirlwind of excitement and celebration for all of us at SEP! We marked our 36th anniversary as a company, which is a feat in itself. Not to mention, we learned that SEP had been recognized for multiple workplace awards!

1. 36 Years of Innovation and Growth 🕰️
On May 11, we hit an incredible milestone—36 years of SEP! Back in 1988, four visionary engineers took a leap when they started a small engineering company in a tiny apartment in Carmel, Indiana.
Today, that company is still going strong, having grown to a team of over 160 people. This anniversary isn’t just about how long we’ve been around—it’s a huge shout-out to the many talented, dedicated people who have been a part of the journey along the way.

2. Shining Brightly Among the Best 🏆
We’re thrilled to share that our efforts to build a fantastic workplace earned us the #9 spot among Medium Companies in the Best Places to Work in Indiana. This honor marks our 15th consecutive year as an award-winning company and is all about our commitment to making sure our team feels appreciated, engaged, and supported every day.
We also earned the #2 spot in the Medium Business Category for the IndyStar Top Workplaces. Based on employee feedback, this award recognizes SEP’s positive and engaging work culture.

3. Spotlight on Outstanding Leadership🌟
SEP’s leadership also garnered special recognition this month. Our President and CEO, Raman Ohri, was recognized with the 2024 Top Workplaces Leadership Award. Since 1993, when Raman joined SEP as a Software Engineer, he has embodied our values of humility, curiosity, and doing it right. We’re thrilled to see his leadership so rightfully recognized with this award.
Ever humble, Raman will certainly appreciate this being our last mention of the matter for a while. 😂
4. BONUS: Leading the Way in Innovation & Service 🥇
This year, we also received the prestigious Mira Award from Techpoint, which recognizes our commitment to innovation and customer service!
