SEP Appoints Jason LaJeunesse as Director of Data 

Westfield, IN — SEP is pleased to announce the creation of a new leadership role, Director of Data, and the appointment of Jason LaJeunesse to the position. This role was created to support client needs as organizations modernize their data platforms, prepare for AI adoption, and build durable, long-term data foundations. 

“Data has gone from a step in the process of building technology solutions to a critical asset,” said Raman Ohri, President and CEO of SEP. 

“SEP is launching a dedicated data practice, building on decades of experience in this space. Jason is uniquely positioned to lead this effort. He brings industry experience in the same kinds of companies we partner with, along with deep expertise across data platforms, analytics, and AI.” 

Jason’s career has been rooted in engineering, analytics, and product leadership.

He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and dual master’s degrees from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business—an MBA and an M.S. in Business Analytics. He began his career in aerospace engineering before moving into data engineering, where he built analytics systems, modernized legacy data pipelines, and developed predictive tools for fleet maintenance. 

He later transitioned into leadership roles across data engineering, GenAI, Vision AI, and Industrial IoT, working in tech services space across manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and home services.  

At SEP, Jason leads our data practice, strengthening the tools, practices, and capabilities that support complex data and AI initiatives. He works closely with clients and delivery teams to modernize data platforms, shape pragmatic strategies, and design systems built for longevity, scalability, and measurable value. 

“Data has been central to the applications SEP has built for nearly four decades,” said Zac Darnell, an Engagement Manager at SEP who has led multiple data projects for clients, notes. “As the industry and our customers have evolved, so has this capability. With AI advancing rapidly, our customers’ data strategies have become essential to their competitive positioning.”
