About Mike
Background and Education
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University. He began his career with a 12‑month co‑op at IBM, where he contributed to NASA projects. After college, he worked at a defense company, holding a top-secret clearance. He then spent time at a small telephony company before returning to Indiana, where he devoted nearly 15 years to a communications test and measurement company in Indianapolis.
With over 20 years of managing projects and teams, Mike has developed deep expertise in software delivery across multiple industries.
Working at SEP
At SEP, Mike’s primary role is to ensure the success of projects and the growth of the people he leads. He finds fulfillment in the variety of domains and clients he encounters, getting to know engineers and designers, building strong relationships with clients, and watching teams thrive. He especially enjoys seeing clients delighted by the work produced by SEP’s teams.
In the Community
Mike volunteers at Gleaners Food Bank, both with SEP and with his family. These experiences remind him of the importance of giving back and the blessings in his own life.
On a Personal Note
Outside of work, he spends time with his family and enjoys activities such as 3D design and printing, woodworking, home projects, golf, camping, fishing, and fitness. He also wishes he had more time to play pickleball.
