SEP President Raman Ohri has been named a 2017-2018 Rose-Hulman Career Achievement Award Winner.
Each year, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology honors alumni with the Career Achievement Award. Recipients of this award have graduated 20+ years ago and are selected based on their achievements within their communities and respective professions.
Raman joined SEP in 1993, the year he graduated from Rose-Hulman, with a degree in computer engineering. Since joining the company, Raman has helped create new products and systems in industries as varied as automotive, medical, pharmaceutical and aerospace. He became SEP’s president in 2015 and serves as an essential member of the company’s executive team that has grown SEP into the award-winning organization it is today.
He is SEP’s corporate ambassador for the Indianapolis Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and is on the ElevenFifty advisory board, whose mission is to create an ecosystem of coding talent. He has served his alma mater as a club/network coordinator and is currently a member of the computer science/software engineering advisory board.
“Raman has been a major contributor to the strength and success of our company,” said Jeff Gilbert founder and CEO of SEP. “He has truly grown up at SEP. He started as an engineer, became an experienced project manager and is now thriving as our President. Throughout these positions, he has never stopped learning. This is what makes him a great leader.”
Gilbert received Rose-Hulman’s 2005 Career Achievement Award.
“We’ve always felt blessed to have someone with his engineering and technical prowess coupled with his ability to lead and inspire,” said SEP Chief Operating Officer Traci Dossett. “Gems like Raman are hard to find and we’re so thankful that he’s chosen to call SEP his home for the last 25 years.”
