Professor Lu is an academic leader, innovator, and entrepreneur who is dedicated to discovery, education, and technology translation in the engineering community to advance our nation’s civil infrastructure systems. Her work has been well recognized internationally and is supported by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, Department of Transportation, and the private sector. In addition to her work at Purdue University, she has also founded several startup companies and translated several patents out of her research lab.
